SDR at Linux

RTL SDR - HF MiniWhip

The Dutch webshop of Van Dijken Elektronica is selling a RTL Cube - DVB-T USB Stick for SDR reception in the band of 25- 1700 MHz.

The stick comes well documented (in Dutch) including a small antenne, CDROM and a remote control. Which offcourse doesn't contain the software needed to run under Linux. But when you have Windows, you ready to go DVB-T. For SDR under windows some aditional software needs to be download from the website of Van Dijken Elektronica. But that a hole different story.

I manged to get the USB stick working on my Ubuntu 14.04 workstation / server.

Some special steps needed to be taken to get it working.

To be continued . . .
